Seafarers job is a type of carrier whereby you may not see your wife or kids for some months... ; sometimes it happens that some seafarers do sail for long distance (one or two months) without mobile network or Internet to reach there families. 3. Home trained & management : As a seafarer, if you marry someone who lack home training or management skills, you will end up working but zero efforts. Women are very sensitive and can be change. You need to make sure your partner have home train and can manage your home in your absence.
4. Fear of God : This point have it all, if your partner have the fear of God in him or her, then the number one and two points could have been included. Meaning you will have her trained either by the help of your family members or your religion members, since you are not always at home to do that.

Fear of exams : sea job is a ranking job which requires reading and taken exams in stepping up to the upper ranks. some people feel very lazy to read or go for exams, which I believe they feel comfortable with there little rank and earnings. Age which wait for no one passes very fast and before you know it, this person remain either rating or low rank till the end of his career age.
4. Unconcerned : some rating for example do feel unconcerned about the duties of there superior, which makes the very poor in performance and ship owners do not take people who do not improve there job quality. In this case, they end up staying at home looking for job from year to year and end up earning nothing for themselves.

4) Risk : In an offshore jobs, there are a lot of risk to take; a) risk of life b) risk of injury. But if you maintain all safety precautions, you will work safely and earn safely.
5) Sea illness : While first time at sea, people use to fall sea illness like; vomiting, purging and others. So you must know your body status before joining the ship.
